Democratic sources say President-elect Barack Obama has selected former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack as agriculture secretary and will announce the appointment on Wednesday.
So often do we overlook the importance of agriculture. Love that Obama is going straight to the source - Iowa. Many may not know that Obama is incredibly savvy when it comes to the need for agricultural reform to protect our farmers, our farmland and most importantly, our tummys and pocketbooks. He dedicated a large portion of “The Audacity of Hope” to this topic…not surprised by this selection at all.
